Changelog

2026-10-25

  • The Ask page is simpler: under the question box one row shows the estimate (the most the debate can use), your balance and how many characters you have typed, and the button comes right after it. "Use web search" and the debate length (Quick, Standard or Thorough) moved to Settings, Debate defaults, and are saved for your account. The first time you ask with web search on, a short notice explains where your question text can go.

2026-10-24

  • The dashboard's top navigation is tighter. "Advanced: API keys for CI and scripts" is now a section of Settings (Settings, Advanced); the old address redirects there.
  • On the home page, the real conversation now sits under the pricing section.

2026-10-23

  • Debates are now charged for what the models actually use. Before a debate starts, the Ask page shows the most it can use and sets that many credits aside; when it finishes you are charged what was actually used (rounded up to whole credits, at least 1), never more than the maximum, and the unused part returns. A debate that cannot finish is not charged. Web search is priced: it is on by default for every model company, charged per search inside the same maximum, and the Ask page shows the maximum with and without search. You can turn search off per debate. Credits are still prepaid packs in one wallet per account.

2026-10-22

  • Debates can search the web for current facts (rolling out; off until announced). The models may send your question text to their company's search tool (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI); turn it off per debate with "Use web search" on the Ask page or web_search: false on e3d_debate. Results list the sources as plain text, unverified.

2026-10-21

  • Connectors can sign in with just their URL (OAuth), for example ChatGPT: add the connector, sign in on our approval page, and allow it. Revoke one any time under "Connected apps". API keys still work for every client.
  • The approval page now answers once: a second click or a browser re-submit shows "This request was already handled" instead of an error.

2026-10-20

  • One credit wallet per account. Credits you buy go to the account, and the website and any API key can spend them.
  • The website works without an API key: sign up, buy a pack and use Ask. API keys are now optional ("Advanced: API keys for CI and scripts"), each with an optional daily, monthly or total spending cap and a default daily cap, plus an account-wide daily ceiling.
  • New sign-in option, "Email me a code": a six-digit code valid for 10 minutes, typed in the same browser. A new address creates an account without a password; add one later with Forgot your password.
  • Usage and History show whether a debate was charged to "Web" or to a key label.
  • Connectors currently use an API key; signing in to a connector with just its URL is not available.

2026-10-18

  • Documentation site published: quickstart, authentication, tools reference, billing, errors and security.
  • Dashboard: sign-up and sign-in, API keys, usage, billing and settings.
  • Hosted MCP endpoint documented at https://pilot.e3d.ai/mcp with the e3d_debate, e3d_list_providers and e3d_usage tools.
  • Pricing opens at launch; purchases are off until a pack is approved.
