Pricing
You see the most a debate can use first. You pay for what it uses.
Choose a plan with a monthly allowance, or buy prepaid credits when you want them. Either way you see the most a debate can use before it starts.
Plans
Two plans. The same debates.
Basic and Pro run the same multi-model debates with the same features. They differ only in the size of the monthly allowance and the price. Both are priced per seat, with one seat per account.
-
Basic
$29 a month, per seat
or $313.20 a year
Save 10% with yearly billing, instead of $348 for twelve months.
Monthly allowance: 400 a month
Roughly 20 short debates a month with web search on (the default), or roughly 100 with it off.
For steady use by one person.
-
Pro
$116 a month, per seat
or $1,252.80 a year
Save 10% with yearly billing, instead of $1,392 for twelve months.
Monthly allowance: 2,000 a month
Roughly 100 short debates a month with web search on (the default), or roughly 500 with it off.
For heavier use by one person.
Debates vary with the question, the length you choose and the models on your panel, so your count may be higher or lower.

How a plan works
A monthly allowance that resets. Credits that stay.
It resets each month
Your monthly allowance is set back to full at the start of each month of your plan. Whatever you did not use does not carry over.
Credits are separate
Credits you buy in a pack do not reset with the month and are not part of the monthly allowance. Your allowance is used before your purchased credits.
Yearly billing, monthly allowance
With yearly billing you pay once a year and still get your monthly allowance each month.
Credit packs
No plan? Buy credits when you need them. Purchased credits do not reset with the month.
-
Starter
100 credits
$10
-
Team
500 credits
$45
-
Scale
2,000 credits
$160
Subscribers can also buy a top-up pack: 500 credits for $37.50, up to twice a month. It is for active subscribers only.
What a debate costs
The maximum first, then what was actually used.
Each debate uses credits based on how much the models read and write, rounded up to whole credits (at least 1). Before you start, the Ask page shows the most the debate can use. You are charged for what the models actually used, never more than that maximum, and the unused part returns to your balance. A short debate can use only a few credits. Web search is on by default for every model company and is charged per search inside the same maximum: the Ask page estimate includes search while it is on, and you can turn search off in Settings. A debate that cannot finish is not charged. Every result shows the credits it used.
How credits work
Set aside first, charged only for what was used.
Buy a pack
Pay once with Stripe Checkout. The credits land in your account's wallet.
Set aside
Before any model runs, the maximum shown on the Ask page is set aside from your balance. Too little balance, or a cap reached, and nothing runs and nothing is charged.
Settle
A finished debate is charged what the models actually used, never more than the maximum, and the unused part comes back. A debate that cannot finish is not charged, and a hold that never settles is returned in full.
Wallet and caps
One wallet. Limits you set.
One wallet per account
Credits belong to your account, not to a key. The website and every API key spend from the same balance.
API keys are optional
Ask from the web with no key at all. Create keys only for your editor, and give each one a cap per day, per month or in total.
Bounded by design
A website daily cap and an account-wide daily ceiling apply on top, so a leaked key can never spend more than its cap or your balance.
Questions
Short answers.
Is this a subscription?
You can buy credit packs when you want them, or choose a plan, Basic or Pro, that gives you a monthly allowance for debates. Plans renew until you cancel. A monthly allowance resets each month; credits you buy do not reset with the month.
Can I cancel?
You can cancel at any time in Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and does not renew.
What happens when my monthly allowance runs out?
Debates keep running on credits you have bought. If you have none, you can buy a pack, move from Basic to Pro, or wait for the allowance to reset next month. Subscribers can also buy the top-up pack.
Does my monthly allowance roll over?
No. It resets each month, and unused allowance does not carry over.
What about refunds?
Refunds follow the refund policy in our Terms.
Do I need an API key?
No. You can ask from the web Ask page with no key. Keys are for connecting an editor, and each can carry its own spending cap.
What if a debate fails?
A request refused before it starts is never charged. A debate that cannot finish is not charged, and what was set aside returns to your balance.
How much will a debate use?
It depends on the question, the length you choose and the models on your panel, so the Ask page shows the most it can use before you start. As an illustration only: a short question, four models and a quick debate might use about 4 without web search and about 19 with it. Your debates may use more or less.
Does web search cost extra?
Search is on by default for every model company and is charged per search, inside the same maximum. The Ask page estimate includes search while it is on, and you can turn search off in Settings.
How do I pay?
Through Stripe Checkout. We never see or store card numbers; we keep the payment id, pack or plan, amount and status.
Do credits expire?
Credits you buy do not reset with the month, and the monthly allowance never touches them. Credits you buy never expire. Free starter credits do expire, on a date shown in your account.
