E3D Pilot in ChatGPT

E3D Pilot works inside ChatGPT as a plugin. Ask a question there and it goes to several models, then shows where they agreed and where they did not. Below is a real session, recorded from the screen, with no sound.

What the video shows

The recording has no sound. This list is the text version, with the time each step starts.

  1. 00:00 A new ChatGPT chat with the plugin selected.
  2. 00:13 Asked to list the plugin’s tools, ChatGPT answers that there are three: run a debate, list the model providers and check usage.
  3. 00:29 The same answer says what the plugin cannot do: edit a repository, create or push commits, or run a deployment.
  4. 00:45 Asked which model providers are available, ChatGPT lists four, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and xAI, each marked available.
  5. 01:17 A quick, one-round debate on whether a small command-line tool should keep its local state in JSON or SQLite. Three of the four models chose SQLite; the answer shows each model’s vote and reason, the one dissent and a combined recommendation.
  6. 01:41 A second quick debate: should a five-person team use a monorepo or separate repositories for three related services. All four models chose one monorepo, and the answer lists the conditions that could justify separate repositories.
  7. 02:13 A thorough, two-round debate with two providers on building your own authentication or using a managed service. Both models chose a managed service.
  8. 02:37 The answer shows what changed after the critique round: portability was stressed more, one cost assumption was challenged, and the extra operating work of running it yourself was added. Neither model changed its decision.
  9. 02:53 Asked whether the plugin can edit a repository, push to GitHub or deploy, ChatGPT answers No and shows a table of the three things the plugin does and the three it does not.

Before you try it

Each debate spends credits from your account, and you need to sign in first. The summary is input to your decision, not a decision: models can be wrong together, and agreement is not proof.
